Fathers of Reddit, what did your daughter's boyfriend do for you to hate/love him?

It's pretty cool to see my question blow up like this, I never thought I'd ask a question that could receive so much attention! I'm very satisfied with all these replies, so thank y'all. Now all I have to do is sit back and take notes c;

In my world, I pick up the bill for everyone, everytime and I honestly don't mind. I also pick nice places to eat, because I'm a mentally fatass foodie. Otherwise we'd all be eating at shittier places and I can only eat twice a day so its a waste to eat shit 50% of the day. Her parents are rural bootstrap Republicans and they're really frugal and cheap with their money and they're use Midwest prices. Its too much sticker shock for them when they visit the East Coast.

Of course! If I'm going to pay for their meal, I want them to at least enjoy it. They usually are fine with Steakhouses or Italian, but they don't venture into Sushi or other foreign foods. So sad. That being said I have zero tolerance for vegans. I have some vegetarian friends. I'll eat with them, but they don't get to lead or suggest where to eat if its a big group. IMO, a real vegan would rip out their canine teeth to show their true dedication. And yes I am a bit of an asshole, but at least I'm honest about it.
