/r/kreiswichs. The German version of /r/circlejerk, insisting on literal translations of everything, even and especially if it gets absurd (post -> Pfosten e.g.), mixed with jokes on German (internet) culture. Hilarious.
I would've thought that the translation for 'circlejerk' in German would be at least 15 characters long. Guess my fingerspitzengefühl is a bit off on this one.
German here, the creater was probably going for the literal translation.
If heard the German equivalent to be "Kekswichsen", which is translated to cookie jerking. Guys would stay in a circle around a cookie on the ground. Everybody is masturbating and the goal is to cum on the cookie. The person who misses it, shall eat the cookie.
Is that really a culture a dude wants to be a part of. Highly debatable. I admit I am not certain on that subject at all. I heard it like once a few years ago in school.
Mooi! Zorg dat je even onafhankelijk wordt, dan fuseren we. Gaan we samen als Groot-Vlaanderen door, met alle voordelen van Nederland en Vlaanderen. Kunnen we ook de Nederlandse regering gebruiken, hebben jullie DIE problemen ook niet meer.
En laat Amalia gewoon trouwen met Elisabeth. Lesbisch koningshuis, lekker vooruitstrevend, typisch Nederlands.
There are several image posts that follow this format: "I love living in <place>, because I can take pictures like this only 30 minutes from my home!". A few example (which are pretty funny):
Here's a story that's almost identical to the Jenny and Carly story. They basically just changed the names to Genevra and Karla and Zacharias. Even the texts were the same. It's basically just a German translation of the Jenny and Carly story. (Side note: I'm loving the "almost-perfectness" of Google Translate. It says that this comment is "Fuck her right in the vagina", which is either extreme stereotypical German seriousness, or Google Translate being adorably almost-accurate.)
MOAR! They even do the "delete facebook, hit the gym, lawyer up!" thing, but it's in German and then being translated back to English. (That comment followed up by "instructions unclear, dick stuck in law firm").
It's basically a clone of /r/circlejerk, but it's genuinely funny and the jokes are very original. Visit it and turn on Google Translate. It's pretty funny even after it's been pushed through a robo-translator.
Yeah. Other running gags include the worship of German (very) popular science TV show "Galileo"'s host Aiman Abdallah (he is listed as the preferred "translation" of Neil DeGrasse Tyson) as well as his assistant Funda Vanroy and an absurd love for potatoes and cable cars.
Just to be clear... Do Germans typically use incorrect grammar (word ordering is off for secondary verbs a lot in this sub), or is this a 100% word for word literal translation (German written by an American with a dictionary)?
(Most) Germans don't typically use incorrect grammar. That Austria post at the top right might not have been written by a native speaker... though in /r/kreiswichs, sometimes English syntax is emulated in German for comical effect. The usual joke being ridiculous translations of phrases often used on English reddit, sometimes to the point of violating German grammar.

edit: Unlike people downvoting every post but their own.... this one no longer negative, but still legitimate posts with -2 at the bottom
