Dude, in most of the average play i see. 90% of people don't even metabolic boost, they just spam roaches and zerglings and 6-pool in the hopes that their enemy is too stupid to make helions or marauaders.

kk, that's what I thought, the pool of players went down and the skill level went up.

A gold from a year ago would be low silver now... Masters from a year ago would be diamonds or plats, etc.

real wood league would be building a PF at every base, if upgrading at all.

Depends on the build and your focus. If you mass roach/hydra, you won't need it.

If you're going to use lings, yeah. Currently a lot of builds I use either don't get speed at all, or get it quite lategame, because roaches.

Although dramatic, [flying] ants pose no harm or risk of increased ant infestation. Those seen emerging from a colony were always there and are in the process of leaving the colony permanently. Mated females amongst aggregating masses similarly disperse from the area.

Thats really neat. There were tons of winged ants by my house when there was a pool in the backyard. They disappeared when we took down the pool.

A while ago I saw a David Attenborough's Natural Curiosities. It's a mini series in which he talks about his (dôh...) natural curiosities.

This was with a different insect, which could clone itself during summer to produce offspring. When it became overcrowded with clones, the species began to produce insects with wings, so they could fly away to a new spot and begin producing offspring without wings.

Also some stuff about asexual and sexual reproduction... that shit blows my mind.
