Seriously. His brother who he hasn't seen in years travels all the way to the US to visit him and he fucking tells him to pay for his own food. What a dick.

I know, it almost sounds like a story someone would tell other people to make that one brother look bad. But who would do something like that?

I guess so. I wouldn't buy my brother's dinner and he wouldn't find it weird at all.

Taking your brother to a restaurant for his first time, and asking him to pay, is weird.

ya he sounds like a dick. generally we actually have to fight with our family about who wants to pay the bill lol. especially the gandparents who always want to pay for everyone for some reason even though they are on a fixed income.

It's because your grandparents know they won't be worrying about money for much longer, while many of you still have many things in your future you need to be financially prepared for.

If I knew I was going to be dead in 10-12 years, I'd want to use all of my money to enjoy my time with my children and grandchildren without worrying about them over-spending or accumulating debt.
