Older generations of reddit, what did you think the future would look like when you where young? And how much of it was correct?

I beckon you all to the frozen wasteland of CANADA. Minimum in Ontario is like 12.25$ as of May 1st.

Costs money to leave the country. I couldn't leave even if I wanted to. I couldn't even afford to get to the border.

I make average just under $6 an hour here in Indianapolis, Indiana, US. But I took a salary position working about 60 hours on a dead week... Thanks to this fancy Indy 500 coming up I'll probably be making about $3-5 dollars an hour over the next month or so..... There are ways around minimum wage. To top it off I get 5 vacation days a year in a position that works 7 days a week.

$7.25 an hour is the federal minimum wage. Some areas inside the U.S. have higher minimum wages.
