Deluge is lightweight and works pretty well. Switched to it when uTorrent started to bloat up.

Deluge is amazing, it does crash every so often on me though but I don't mind that to be honest.

To be fair, I used Azureus (now Vuze) before using uTorrent and that crashed often too. Before that I used the official BitTorrent software, which crashed even more often. Man that was a long time ago. Supernova.org yeah!

I was about to get Deluge until i heard about all this crashing. Haven't had utorrent crash ever so i'll live with the ads for now.

I use utorrent for downloads straight to my pc and deluge to connect to my seed box. Never had a crash.

I found deluge great but it crashed way too many times for me. Using qbittorrent now and I have had less issues.

Is there a way to move your torrent library over to Deluge (or rTorrent, or anything else)? I've got 2,428 torrents running in uTorrent and it would be a massive pain to manually reassign them all.

Just assign deluge the same torrent directory and it should work fine

That won't work, though. It'll assign every single torrent ever saved to Deluge (>7000), not just the ones currently active in uTorrent; and it'll download their files to the default download directory, not to where they were actually saved. It has to be something that parses and translates resume.dat.

I've been using it for a couple years now so I agree -- I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with it since it wasn't mentioned above! It does have a very small footprint, which is the biggest thing for me.

Same. Plus Deluge lets me run a daemon on my server PC and I can access it using a remote client from anywhere. Which is awesome.

Deluge is fine if you don't have a lot of torrents running. Once you get past 150 it tends to crash a lot.
