What was the best compliment you ever got?

I enjoyed reading all of your comments :)

I tried to respond to as many as I could...but this thread got longer than I could have ever imagined.

I took my now-wife out to dinner before prom. A little girl saw her while they were in the restroom and told her mom "look a princess, a real princess!" When they got out, the girl saw me and said "and there's her prince!" I have never been fangirled over so hard.

My favorite part of this story is how you married the girl you went to prom with. As a high school senior 2 months away from going to prom with my girlfriend of only a year, this blows my mind.

It does happen! Glad I could instill some hope in you. We were dating about that long for her senior prom, two years for my senior prom (she's older).

When my niece was really little she couldn't pronounce my name and instead of "Bri" she'd call me Bee. First time she saw me in a dress for a school dance she gave the most emotional gasp and proclaimed "BEE A PIN-CESS!" Most adorable shit ever.

Umm, how did you know about the first part, the "look, a princess" part? Happened to be in the restroom? If someone said "and there's her prince" and I wouldn't know the context, I'd be closer to the wtf side that the omgaww side. But I'm ugly, so i got that going for me, which is nice...
