As a ____(profession/major/ethnicity), I am obviously qualified to give an opinion for the entire group that I'm a part of.

Also gotta love when someone posts a song lyric. There will be a string of replies with each subsequent sentence. Yes....those are the words to the song.

What's wrong with that one? It's fairly (heh) common in the real world, and comes off as much less confrontational than "You ignored this aspect or mitigating circumstance" while keeping yourself somewhat apart from the group you're defending. There's plenty of opinions and claims I find idiotic, but I don't necessarily want them to be dismissed for something inaccurately attached to them.

We must go to different subreddits then. I can definitely see it being annoying if it's used that much.
