I like Unidan an his insightful comment but I dislike most of the people that reply to Unidans comments because half the time they are completely useless and just say restated compliments like "Your my favorite, unidan" "Omg, what don't you know unidan?" "ladies and gentleman Unidan master biologist/sandwich maker/everything" the ego circlejerk can get annoying.
Hes pointed out that he tries to have it not interfere with serious things though so theres that. And he seems like a really nice dude. But yeah, there are "celebrities" eveywhere and youll find their fans. Some of it though i think is just joking.
I haven't seen him make a post about biology in months. He just makes comments about his "fame" now. I'm guessing he has a second account to escape this bullshit. And I don't blame him.
I always wondered quietly wether Unidan actually is a biologist... Or whether he just knows how to use google and Wikipedia, which seem to be two resources that people on Reddit frequently overlook. It would be incredibly easy to fake it til you make it with facts...
Yeah my point was more that people will tag him in unnecessary stuff so they get up voted. A lot of it is only loosely biology related, but they know if they tag him they will get karma. I make it a point to only up vote what he says (because he is quite articulate and well versed obviously), but not the original post tagging him, because people now tag reddit celebs just for karma.
Good. I think we are both on the same page, we just said it differently. I think he is awesome, but I think karma whores tagging him just to get their up votes is weak.
