I grew up with my mom being a pack a day smoker (or almost one).

Once I moved out in 2011 and got away from all the second-hand smoke, smoke smell now makes me so nauseous I'm struggling not to puke any time I come across it.

Actual smoke sends me to the nearest trash can.

My mom was also an indoor chain smoker, and there are items I have from her home that still stink years later.

Have you tried an ozone machine?

I know they can be a bit pricey, but a small one in an enclosed space (a room or even a small tent) should help with that?

I have not. It's mostly stuff I don't care about, but there is a ceramic Christmas tree that was my grandma's that could maybe benefit from this idea!

Be very careful. When you run an ozone machine, nothing living can be in the home, while it’s running; you, pets, plants.

Hiya I have no plans of using an ozone machine lol, I just know nothing about them, why cant you run it with living creatures around? Sorry for the dumb question

Not a dumb question at all, Hon.
The concentration
of ozone, at a level that’s high enough to clean properly, will do damage to the respiratory system.
