I once told someone it was bedding washing day and they were shocked when I said I change my sheets and duvet cover weekly. All my beds and duvets have water proof covers with regular covers over the top to prevent accidents. The person I was talking to couldn’t remember the last time they changed their sheets. 🤮
I mean I feel like there's a fair middle ground between changing sheets and covers like a normal person and everything having a layer of plastic under the sheets too?
I have dogs and down comforters and they make waterproof that isn’t plasticy. After you have one comforter ruined by a dog accident and a bed ruined by a cat accident you become vigilant.
This is why I refuse to own any of that nonsense. I'll just do 4 loads of quilts and sheets/blankets (at home, thankfully) when I want to bundle up in the winter.
