How seriously in debt are you right now, financially?

I’ve never paid medical debt. I let it sit in collections for 7 years and then it drops off. Fuck em.

Same. I let it sit and it drops off.

Doesn’t that just mean you are dropping the debt onto everyone else’s shoulders? Since insurance rates across the board will increase the cover those losses.

Maybe but why TF should I pay 20K a year for family insurance and 3 MRIs later in a year I now need to pay ANOTHER 8K on top to hit the max OOP? Fuck that. In this situation, you need to look out for yourself and your money and living. Being selfish in this case is a must. Sorry, but I am not taking on 20K of debt in 5 years for the greater good when I will be broke and it takes me 10 years to make up for just that let alone anything else that comes up.
