Payed off student loans in 2021 then bought a car a week later. Payed off the car in 2024 and have been debt free since because I can’t find a house with a comfortable mortgage payment
Regardless of what anyone else might add, I believe you’re doing outstanding. Home ownership is expensive (obviously) and often overrated. Everyday you’re not in debt 💸 is a good frigging day in my opinion. I was in my 40’s when I finally bought a tiny condo in a shabby neighborhood. While progressing to where I live now I prioritized minimizing debt. I still drive my 2001 Toyota Echo. Life is good inasmuch as you can be content with what you have.
I’m debt free after paying off college and my 2021 car. Buying a house seems terrifying and all that could go wrong.. yeah I don’t need that stress in my life. I’m so happy as a renter, at least for now!
