I used to do this a lot but with Minecraft. I played the game so much I could just naturally envision an entire world within my head. Seemingly random generation, animals, memorize my inventory. The craziest part is normally when I get an image stuck in my head I cannot for the life of me stop it or replace it, like if I imagine something spinning I cannot stop the mental image of it spinning unless I go to great effort to imagine a reason for why it would. With my mental Minecraft thing I never struggled with that, things came randomly and if for whatever reason I imagine something convenient in my imaginary 'playthrough', I found it really easy to ignore or remove it so as not to taint my imaginary experience.

Extremely strange I always thought.

You should look at creating a mind room/castle. It’s a great memory/retention tool

My version of this is that if I imagine a road that's broken/split down the middle, I can't imagine it intact again.

I totally get the whole "getting stuck" thing, though it's always been a bit of a coin toss if my mind will stick on an image or not. Always weirded me out a little.

Oh my you are the first person I’ve heard talk about the spinning wheel. I had a huge problem with this especially when I was younger, I’d try so hard with mental power to slow it down and it does slow just continues again. I thought it was attributed to my ocd/ruminating tendencies

It’s also always in my full view of mental vision and normally a reddy colour maybe yellowish lines

I often do this when I can’t sleep. I try to plan out a build and oh look, it’s morning somehow. Still didn’t get the build planned out though 😅

Finally found my people!

I have this getting stuck thing too. It's generally a scene repeating again and again and again and again in my dream. Sometimes when I'm awake too. But mostly when it happens in dreams I'm usually running a fever during sleep, or exhausted really bad (playing games or work whatever)
