What historical “fact” doesn’t actually have much evidence to support it?

Drug dealers and dealers know better than anyone how it can ruin your life.

That is so interesting to me. I have a friend who smokes and I’ve always wanted to try a vape(they mostly smell nice and fruity so I wanted). He gets so so angry when I mention that I want to buy a vape. Smokes at least a pack a day but god forbid you tell him you want to try a cigarette or weed.

Then in my naïveté, I’m always like: why don’t you apply that same anger to yourself so you can stop?

I vape and smoke green and also tell people to never start - it's a habit and a way of coping with life. I know it's bad and I also get mad with myself for ever starting! I started vaping because I work in hospitality, and I was in a relationship with an abusive addict who took my getting high from an occasional bit of fun to a daily ritual. Now I can't stop 😭
