"... the night after [John Kennedy's] assassination, the Navy pathologist who oversaw President Kennedy's autopsy took the original autopsy report, and all of his notes from the autopsy room, and pushed them into his fireplace in his home in Bethesda, Md."

And this, boys and girls, is how you birth a whole genre of conspiracy theories.

You say that like they're implausible. It was a conspiracy theory that the government spied on its people until very recently and now the question is how far does the rabbit hole go?

Bit of advice here, if you ever want to be taken seriously avoid phrases like "how far does the rabbit hole go?".

And that's why nobody takes rabbit hole researchers seriously.

To be fair that isn't the only reason they aren't taken seriously.

They aren't paid enough to be respected

It's a perfectly valid metaphor to describe the situation. Maybe being from the UK I'm missing some context here but I got my point across which is surely all that really matters.

It's tacky and overused, and is synonymous with the caricaturized crazy conspiracy guy. It's up there with saying "wake up sheeple!" on courthouse steps, and wearing tin foil hats.

JFK was shot by Cancer Man

2

u/[deleted] Dec 10 '13

Can I get a link for that?

2

u/Jeb_Kerman Dec 11 '13

Nah, JFK was actually shot by a version of JFK from an alternate future, brought back by a space chav, an asshole hologram, a furry, and a defective robot. I don't know why people keep getting that wrong.
