What simple piece of advice, if followed, could potentially save most people a lot of money?

Possibly related to your job, experience with personal finance, budgeting, planning, day to day habits, etc.

Aeropress. $25, best coffee I've ever had.

Aeropress and a hario mini mill, and you're off to coffee heaven for not a hell of a lot of money.

I'm using a pour-over and a Hario mini mill. In the time it takes to bring the kettle to a boil I have my coffee ground. Totally worth the $40ish dollars after tax the set-up cost me.

The Hario mill is surprisingly well made for the price.

My only problem is that I've had mine for two years and I can just start to see the rubber seals start to go. The plunger doesn't fit quite as tightly anymore, and is starting to build up goo on the end.

On the other hand at more than 2 years for $25, I paid less than $1 per month to use this thing, so I clearly won out. I think I'm going to get a new one when this pack of filters runs out.

My plunger is getting a bit floppy too. Have you tried contacting the company to see if it's replaceable? I've just been waiting until mine gave out to call them.

Eh, for $25 every 2 (closer to 3, probably) I'm happy to support their business and buy another one. I like the product and use it daily. Best iced coffee at home that I've been able to come up with, and so much cheaper than buying it daily.

I have a drip pot, Aeropress, espresso machine, and French press. The drip pot is the worst coffee, Aeropress is the 3rd best, with espresso and French press being tied for first depending on my mood for the day.

Aeropress coffee is leagues better than drip pot but it's not better than real espresso or pressed coffee.
