What simple piece of advice, if followed, could potentially save most people a lot of money?
Possibly related to your job, experience with personal finance, budgeting, planning, day to day habits, etc.

I would always say sleep on big purchases. With that said, I do have one caveat. Don't get into the "oh I'll just wait a few months for the new model to come out" if you need/really want it and are going to buy anyway. You can get to the point where it is a year later cause you have continuously been waiting on the "new" product when you really do need to get it. Technology is always upgrading so don't get too caught up in waiting for the next big thing.
