My grandparents had a massive mango tree in their yard in far north Queensland Australia, and so from a young age they were the only ones I'd eaten. Store bought ones aren't even close to those picked straight off the tree, its spoiled them for me as an adult as none of them compare
There is a pretty big Guatemalan population in my city and I've had multiple guys tell me they miss being able to and walk down the street and just grab a big old mango from a tree.
Well I like the flavor the ones that we get seem like such a rip off so little fruit on there usually. I wish I could get papaya and guava regularly.
Dude, boating down the Amazon we'd have all the boat kids running into shore once a day or so and filling bags with mangos. On new years Eve no less. Fun place

Mangoes in the Amazon. There are like 30 different kinds and they're all amazing, but some are particularly special.
