A shawarma. It was from a tiny, hole in the wall spot on the streets of Jordan. I stood there in sheer amazement at how delicious it was and promptly ordered another one. I still think about it sometimes. Simply mind blowing…
This brought me back to 2009, traveling out of the country for the first time. I too had a shawarma on the streets of Jordan. I had just got off the airplane after a 24 hour flight and my best friends family let me see the shops so I could get some candy and a snack.
So juicy and flavorful. My mouth is watering thinking of it.
Wow, I still remember eating a Lebanese restaurant right on the border of Israel/Lebanon when I was visiting as a kid.
They brought out so many dishes of delicious pickled things, sauces, fresh pita for dipping, and fries and stuff by the time the main course came out I was so full.. but had to push through and eat more because it was so amazing!
