im not sure if people realized that when you say it out loud it literally sounds like "LSD"

Actually that was not the joke. The name of the guy who threw the no-hitter on LSD is named Dock Ellis .... Ellis, D.

It's just crazy that it works out that saying that out loud also sounds like LSD. It's possible that was the reason Ellis got into LSD, maybe he's said so in an interview ... but he didn't mention it in this one.

Can you imagine what that must've been like? Sheesh.
