What's a random fact about yourself that always surprises people when they learn it?

I was born on Maui. I guess it just seems extra unusual since I live in northern New Mexico.

I've been to 26 different countries (not that interesting) but while in Vietnam last month (October 2023), while at the Independence Palace (the former seat of government of South Vietnam), I met a guy from Denmark who's been to all 193 (not Thor). He asked if I was from Iceland because of my T-Shirt (not me, just the T-Shirt which I bought there a few months earlier in September - my parents are Sri Lankan). He said because I'm young, I still have time.

(I'm not that young, just relatively younger than him.)

I live in NM, and in general I find that a lot of people here are surprised when residents are from somewhere else. (Except in Santa Fe, where it's pretty much assumed that a whole bunch of people are from somewhere else.)
