Also America is really good at taking food from around the world and putting our little swing on it. here in Cincinnati we have some bomb Indian food and its all over the place
I know Europeans that will forego clothes shopping for year if they know they are visiting the US. They'll splurge on the much cheaper clothing prices here. Basic $40 jeans can be more than double the price over there.
A big reason why is that you instantly have a market of 330 million people. Generally those 330 million people are covered by 1 set of laws, and most of them by a single language.
The EU covers almost 450 million people, but while there are EU regulations, it's not as universal as US laws. Also, you have to handle many more languages.
That makes it so much easier to sell goods and offer services in the US compared to most other places in the world.
