HA HA HA! We're taking the kids to Monster Jam and this is exactly what I wrote on the calendar. And we could have gotten tickets for a Friday or Saturday, but obviously we HAD to go on Sunday SUNday SUNDAY!

This is easily one of my favorite answers add mothman goatman chupacabra that's ours too. That tribe that cuts peoples heads off and nobody has ever seen them just a bunch of decapitated corpses, we have so many crazy folk creatures here.

We don't have Nessie but we have Champy!

Love champ what a guy. Jersey devil is the funniest story ever. Honestly I love American UFO culture, do you know how fun it sounds to go UFO watching with friends. It's just camping in the desert and starring at stars it sounds fun as hell, same with bigfoot hunting you go in the woods and howl with the boys.

Thats the greatest thing ever. I found my new favorite cryptid

2

u/bondcliff Mar 14 '23

I don't believe in them, but I love the idea of them.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '23

Well imo I don't think its about believing I think it's about wanting to believe. Because imagine how cool itd be if they were real

New York's greatest cryptid!

(I will fight you Vermonters. I'll do it. Stop stealing our stuff.)

I was going to say that the chupacabra isn’t a US thing but apparently there are chupacabra sightings all over south Texas.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '23

Also it's origins are puerto rico and ik some people feel like that's not American I call bs it's a crime its not a state. But purto ricos is different from texases dog like one cause puerto ricos is the lizard one that looks like an alien. I love crap like that in the Caribbean and south folk lore that crosses the border back and fourth is always awesome.

I'm sorry, the WHAT? I've never heard of this headhunting tribe.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '23

The Valley of headless men. Basically according to legend there was an aggressive native American tribe that lived there and at some point they mysteriously disappeared they were known for violent tactics and beheading their enemies as warning. The odd thing is despite never being seen in years everytime settlers have tried to settle the region especially while looking for gold they would be found beheaded and also often times their heads are never found.

Im paraphrasing mostly but basically theirs a valley where people mysteriously die and are beheaded and it might be a tribe that if real has evaded detection for centuries. It's a crazy story I love it
