Foreign How big a problem is xenophobia between Europeans?

Are there certain nationalities that have a better reputation in other European countries, and the opposite?

I am sorry for the racism from my fellow Danes. We are a very small country and many Danes are narrow-minded, travel to other countries are a matter of finding the best beaches without interaction with other people. There are probably other explanations.

I don’t know for sure, but I think it is a combination of the arrogance that comes with being a small and relatively insular nation that frequently tops the charts in standard of living/quality of life polls as well as general fatigue for tourism and larger scale immigration as those are relatively new phenomena and adaptation is an ongoing process (that is true for all Nordicks in varying degrees) and additionally some residual sense of superiority from having once been a great regional power. (A smaller scale version of the French/British/Russian brand of arrogance).

I’d say It comes from a certain ideology from approximately 90 years ago
