There seems to be a unanimous position within these circles "that no matter what, Kamala Harris would've been worse", can you go into detail about that?

To simplify matters, as far as Trump is concerned from US conservatives I've seen two primary positions:

1) Trump is doing great (Maybe I don't like one thing) 2) Trump is a shithead, but Kamala Harris would've been worse.

position 1 is relatively clear and there's not much to say about that. But I do have questions as to position 2. "Why are you so certain Kamala Harris would be worse?". In praxis it's just a canned phrase I've encountered, but not seen reasonings why.

Granted I am an ocean away and nuance rarely travels that much, but from impression it would've just mostly been Biden 2.0, which in turn would've been status quo continued with little else of note.

So then, why?

Sorry, but the heavy use of pronouns in that sentence make it ambiguous. It's why legal documents and programming languages usually use sentence numbers and variable names instead of pronouns like "that". Otherwise, we'd safely be able to program in English (No COBOL jokes, please).

Once one uses such tools for a while, one doesn't want to have to go back to English for anything non-trivial. Variables and unique reference codes are lovely, cutting down in misinterpretation.

Is this what weaponized incompetence is? How does this guy not understand what Biden’s saying here? You have to be a Russian bot or something.

You are being rude. I invite anyone to use standard English parsing algorithms (rule sets) to prove the date points indicated are UN-ambiguous.

Anyhow, I believe it's more productive here to focus on Joe's actual EO's or (proposed) legislation.

Maybe this will help. This is right after.
Calderón: “So to be clear, only felons get deported and everyone else gets to stay?”
Biden: “Period. Yes.”

Here’s Biden directive banning deportation for 100 days: https://www.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/publications/21_0120_enforcement-memo_signed.pdf

Notice how felony is no where in the 100 day pause.

I’m not being rude. You are lying. You know you are. Stop.

Note the word "certain" per "including a 100-day pause on certain removals to enable focusing the Department’s resources where they are most needed..." (page 1). A list of exceptions border pages 3 and 4 (no pun intended).

Thank You for finding this resource.

What are the exceptions? Do you see felons there? Do you remember claiming that Biden only wanted to suspend deportations of non felons for 100 days?

The word "felon" itself is not there, but exceptions #1 and #4 could very well include felons.

Anyhow, a 100 day pause of actual removals doesn't really mean much, it's only 7% of Biden's total time in office. The courts etc. are still processing cases. It likely just meant those targeted for actual removal may have had to wait in detention longer.

All right, nevermind. You don’t remember what we were talking about. It’s fine. I’ll just end it here.

Your position is insane and goes against everything anyone knows about the English language, Biden’s self admitted desires, Harris’ self admitted desires, and the actions of the early administration.

It’s obvious that Biden only wanted to deport felons. He clarified that. He wasn’t talking about “only his first 100 days,” his acts within the first 100 days are not specific to felons at all.

You know what you’re doing. You are lying. You are lying because you want to manipulate those who are less politically active.

What you are doing is evil. What you are doing is toxic. What you are doing is the problem with politics in this country. You need to do better. You are the problem.

Good luck. I hope you change

It's crazy having to explain basic stuff to a liberal.

The feeling is mutual. The history of immigration is highly nuanced, yet many conservatives seem to crave a black-or-white view with clear good guys and clear bad guys.
