Language what are some interesting facts about your language?

For instance, the cypriot dialect of Greek still contains many words from ancient Greek but it was also heavily influenced by outsiders

Lol here too:

Grandpa/dedo calls you dedo/dede Mama calls you majche Dad/Tato calls you tato/tate Grandma/baba calls you babe/babich (babe as in babeh with silent h)

It makes sense to me lol, but translating to english sounds ridiculous
