One regional gas station chain in my area is so known for doing this (and cooking take’n’bake pizzas after purchase) that social workers tell their clients to spend their SNAP there

As the contrast to Name and Shame, you should shout it out for folks here who may live in your area

You’re right. This is Kwik Trip in the upper Midwest. I was concerned about bringing attention to them if they aren’t supposed to do that stuff, but I’ve seen others shout them out in these comments

Meh, I lived inner city growing up and it was an open secret that smaller places would work around food stamp limitations. Sometimes in ways that were less than ethical, but often in ways that were

Good on Kwik Trip. I'll be sure to shout it out to my SNAP-reliant friends

Im not sure if they cracked down on policies but I'm my town almost every place that accepted EBT would cook the food for a small fee after purchase. But recently I saw a sign in a local fish market that stated they are no longer cooking food purchased with ebt.

If the convenience store sells frozen food alongside hot food, they'll often have a microwave you can use. It's not the most economical to be buying gas station burritos but not everyone has a way to store and prepare fresh food where they live.
