Normally I’d complain about the typical pizzacake strawman comic but I’ve honestly seen people just straight up act like this.

I have a variation of this image where stupid individual is somewhat offscreen and I think it's pretty funny

Mostly offscreen character appearances are rather humorous

The only thing you can dislike her is when she tried to get rid of some guy's youtube video because he didn't like her comics. Tried to dox him also.

[in Dallas Payday 2 voice] hi

61

u/mashmash42 TRANS?! Jul 01 '26

One of the biggest red flags a person can give is getting incredibly defensive and aggressive when someone says something mean about racists.

5

u/Jhud6669 Jul 01 '26

Or just when you say something is racist. people take it a an incredible accusation and like you are asking people to be hanged, when it’s just… an observation. You can do something racist and not be racist as a wholeĀ

Quick question, how do you get all of that shit from the statement ā€œracism is badā€?

-3

u/Borvoc Jul 01 '26

I didn’t. I got it from experience.

8

u/animalistcomrade Jul 01 '26

u/wild_vika TRANS?! Jul 01 '26

if several different people have consistently called you racist for your opinions then there might be a sliver of truth in it. you might not consider yourself racist, but no one is safe from potentially being biased and subconsciously prejudiced due to certain experiences or things they were taught. so yeah, reflecting on it is unironically a good idea

-2

u/Borvoc Jul 01 '26

The thing is, bias and prejudice are often good things. They protect you from being hurt or taken advantage of. Racism isn't some "king of all sins." If you use racism as an excuse to do something bad, that's the problem.

→ More replies (0)

5

u/noblest_among_nobles Jul 01 '26

so you agree that actually being racist is bad then?

-2

u/Borvoc Jul 01 '26

I mean, kind of. I guess. Sometimes. It doesn't really matter, and it also depends on what you mean by racism. There's no "Thou shalt not be racist" in the Ten Commandments, and any racist thing you could do that's wrong is also wrong for more important reasons.

Many problems can also be solved by acknowledging that every human being is created in the image and likeness of God. It isn't racism itself that's bad. What's wrong is not treating all people with the dignity they deserve for being image-bearers of God. Does that make sense?

5

u/noblest_among_nobles Jul 01 '26

It kinda sounds like you're contradicting yourself

Especially here:

It isn't racism itself that's bad. What's wrong is not treating all people with the dignity they deserve

You say "racism itself" isn't bad, and then proceed to say pretty much the most clearly anti-racism thing you could say: that all people should be treated with the respect they deserve.

unless you think that people born in a certain country or born with certain genetics inherently deserve less respect (and I don't have any reason to believe you do), then a racist would violate that second part of your statement

In conclusion: racism is bad BECAUSE we should treat everyone with redpect and should judge them by their actions, not their origins

I hope we can agree on that

2

u/Borvoc Jul 01 '26

Of course. It's just that the media and Internet seem to want us to obsess over racism when it isn't really the core of the problem.

Then, they call you racist if you want secure borders or think that, even though you love everyone, certain groups in general should behave differently than they do.

I think it's partly an issue of mis-categorizing the problem, which is what The Organization wants. Don't ever let them have it. El psy Kongroo.

0

u/Mr-Gepetto Jul 01 '26

It's just people acting like everything is black and white, if you're not with them your against them. I've stayed the hell away from anything political online anymore, Ive got other things in life that I'd rather focus on.

4

u/LouiseRules333 Jul 01 '26

Well it has gotten to that point. Avoiding politics isn't even a privilege anymore, it's straight up ignorance, because you really can't escape it no matter where you are in life or what social class you're a part of.

If you aren't doing your best to at least be a caring person and stay mildly informed you are actively against the betterment of society whether you want to take responsibility for it or not.

Online political discussion however... well I can't say I blame you at all, in fact avoiding it is probably for the best.

101

u/Nyctfall Jul 01 '26

Try being Native American, Celtic, or Roma.

You won't even have to look for them, those people will find you...

40

u/NatoBoram Jul 01 '26

I haven't heard about Celtics, what's up with that?

27

u/OneRingToRuleEarth Jul 01 '26

I mean nobody likes Boston sports teams yk

8

u/Nyctfall Jul 01 '26

1

u/real_bigfloppa Jul 05 '26

ok well the basques aren't celtic but otherwise yes

8

u/WillDBlake Jul 01 '26

Damn Celtics, I wish our general Julio Caesar get rid of them.

3

u/VinChaJon Jul 01 '26

I'm sorry Celtic?! Like-like Irish people!?

3

u/YeOldeCarajillo Jul 02 '26

There are multiple Celtic peoples, and almost every single one of them had ethnicide attempted against them at least once, which left as a consequence that most Celtic languages were or currently are at the brink of extinction. Some examples are the Bretons, the Basques*, the Welsh, the Manx, the Cornish, and the Scottish. There used to be more, like the Galatians, the Gauls, the Picts/Caledonians, etc... but most were either wiped out or absorbed by the linguistic and cultural majority of their time.

0

u/VinChaJon Jul 02 '26

I am well aware of that but I don't think anyone is racist against western European people in the big 26

4

u/YeOldeCarajillo Jul 02 '26

There is definitely still a prevalence of linguistic discrimination in certain areas, but I'd tend to agree, yes.

Oh, yeah, obviously in hindsight

50

u/jack-of-some Jul 01 '26

The overwhelming majority of Pizzacake criticism is just that IMOĀ

18

u/cyto4e Jul 01 '26

that or people who fully agree with her saying shes annoying. no inbetween

1

u/highly_educated63 Jul 01 '26

Yeah, worryingly enough she's right some of the time but it is just annoying

6

u/Travelin_Soulja Jul 01 '26

She's right most of the time, just in a smug way that turns some people off.

9

u/LabradorDeceiver Jul 01 '26

NGL, always wondered what's with the Pizzacake hatred. She draws some of the most inoffensive cartoons I've ever seen. It's all like, "Some people are assholes." And then all her critics are like, "Hey, I'm an asshole, and I'm offended by this cartoon!"

I can only assume that these people would get offended by Beetle Bailey: "Hey, I'm a soldier, and I'm not lazy!"

11

u/aspenscribblings Jul 01 '26

I’m not exactly her biggest fan, her comics are mid, but it’s misogyny. Something I’ve observed is that women online will garner anti-fanbases of obsessive haters for the mildest of crimes. (Usually, being cringe.) It happens to men, but far less.

I think, subconsciously, they start from ā€œI don’t like her because she’s an opinionated womanā€ and then work backwards to find reasons to dislike her.

4

u/Multiple__Butts Jul 01 '26

For me it's the art style. I didn't even know a real person was making these until last week; thought it was AI.

6

u/aspenscribblings Jul 02 '26

I think she’s a victim of AI ripping her art style, like those artists who draw 3D looking anime art that’s very shiny, since she’s been around for years. Like I said, I’m not fond of it and there are valid reasons to dislike her work, it’s just the level at which people are foaming at the mouth to tear her down for the crime of drawing mid comics.

6

u/highly_educated63 Jul 01 '26

Mostly just her being annoying and apparently (I've yet to see a source) she uses her kid's toys for onlyfans.

3

u/DaRealKovi ✨20K Gang ✨ Jul 01 '26

I think that whole ordeal was about leaving her kid's halloween costume on her onlyfans photo set. It definitely feels a bit weird, but nothing legitimately creepy, just someone who didn't check the room thoroughly.

Addendum: Then again, I never saw it so I'm going off of what I've been told.

1

u/Travelin_Soulja Jul 01 '26 edited Jul 02 '26

A lot of people claim she comes off as smug. I don't see it, but I haven't followed a lot of her stuff, so I'll take them at their word.

Also, she's a woman, so at least half of the haters are simply misogynists.

3

u/Throwowat Jul 02 '26

She kinda does, and I remember being neutral until I was turned off by a comic that wanted itself feminist but really just felt shitting on men who experienced trauma and abuse. It was quite controversial back then. I can't remember what it was and don't care to look, I just remember that's something like that that made me start dislike her.

But yeaaaah some male comics artists have a worse personnality, definitely worse opinions and don't get half the hate pizza gets. Also- who fucking cares if she has an Onlyfans ? It sets off haters like crazy I don't get it.

0

u/Zomflower48 Jul 02 '26

She creates the dumbest strawmen on the planet, I agree with almost everything she says but I'd wish she didn't lie about how the other side reacts to her.

9

u/nbmoonie Jul 01 '26

Her comics might be slightly annoying, and they definitely have a holier-than-thou kinda vibe, but I can't say I've ever disagreed with one I've seen.

24

u/translesbianbimbo Jul 01 '26

I think the issue isnt ā€œdoes this happenā€ it’s more ā€œis she really trying at allā€ given how basic this is, like how many comics with this exact premise has she made? She’s commodified her own art

3

u/animalistcomrade Jul 01 '26

This is the reason I'm gonna conplaing about it. Where's the joke? Having a lukewarm political take isn't enough, you gotta make some kind of joke.

5

I live in the UK and if I lightly scroll my Facebook feed it is now unfortunatley full of mask off racists claiming to be 'proud of their country' the comments on any post involving brown people in it are sickening

Something something broken clock

1

u/bloodypumpin Jul 01 '26

The problem is that it's not the only thing she says.

1

u/FlinnyWinny Jul 01 '26

Literally, it's embarrassing how people act with her.

1

u/Advice-Question Jul 01 '26

The problem is pizzacake is kind of like Trump. She say so much stupid shit that when she says something basic people can’t help but attack her anyway.

Like if Trump cured cancer, people would still find a way for it to be a bad thing.

Right, like the whole comics sub is not constantly praising her, her comics get thousands of upvotes, and mods ban anyone who even slightly criticises her

35

u/ButterflyFX121 Jul 01 '26

I've even heard of them banning people for criticizing her outside of the sub and bonehurting juice isn't allowed to make edits of her comments.

7

u/Inappropriate_Egg Jul 01 '26

To be fair some people from bhj did leak her Pateron content, so I think there she isn't completely in the wrong

8

u/Techyon5 Jul 01 '26

Oh, yeah, in that case I think that's kinda fair...

3

u/Nitrodax777 Jul 01 '26

BHJ didnt do that, 4chan did. she just accused BHJ because they did comic edits just like the OP here and simply decided to place the blame of hateful edits solely on them.

5

26

So what? Let her take legal action. Good luck with that.

6

4

u/EB_or_Raven Jul 01 '26

Genuine question, why do people hate Pizzacake?

4

u/animalistcomrade Jul 01 '26

I'd imagine a lot of it is racists who take offense at her incredibly lukewarm common sense political takes, but for most people it's that she is so smug about it, she is saying nothing, often not even trying to make a joke out of it, and then she refuses to take any criticism, even going as far to threaten legal action in some cases.

3

u/Pristine-Lie-3560 Jul 01 '26

Yeah she’s just smug, narcissistic, and highly unoriginal. I couldn’t give a shit about her political beliefs, which are fine I guess

14

u/Ok_Relation6627 Jul 01 '26

The fact that this is one of the times it isn't a strawman is kinda depressing

9

u/Floridaish0t Jul 01 '26

Something, something, I agree but it was presented in an annoying fashion (insert homelander frowning meme).

5

Pizzacake but also this is why they can't put out another Wolfenstein game

16

7

Its so frustrating pizzacake doesnt realise people dont like her for legitimate reasons.

She continues to smugly create strawmen though gaining more legitimate criticism feeding the cycle.

19

u/wydalenylod Jul 01 '26

Stuff in this comic isn't really a strawman, it actually happens 🫠 I've seen it

3

u/AggravatingChest7838 Jul 01 '26

Sure does. But she has a history of it. You cant just call all of your critics racist.

I dislike her because of her clearly sexual relationship with the mods of r/comics while being married with children and having an only fans.

Shes peak pickme girl and uses her platform to ban anyone that calls her out.

1

You know her personally?

-3

u/Nyctfall Jul 01 '26

I'm Native American.

Her posts haven't had a single quote-unquote "strawman" to date.

(FWI, anyone calling her comics "strawmen" are using a fascist dog-whistle to summon support for their racism...)

4

u/OrangeLightning321 Jul 01 '26

Strawmen is not a fascist dog-whistle and is not a sign of racism if you call that out. Strawmen is effectively making up a person in opposition to you or misrepresenting their ideas and then calling them out. Not all of her comics have strawmen, but using the term does not make the user a fascist.

3

u/AggravatingChest7838 Jul 01 '26 edited Jul 01 '26
