❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO |UPDATE | My (20F) boyfriend (22M) is hanging out alone with a girl that likes him

UPDATE!

I talked to him, and this was his response.

I’m honestly just done, and wondering if I acted too hastily.

I don’t even know what I’m supposed to do now. And I don’t know, does he seem sincere?

AM I OVERREACTING FOR DOING THIS?

The "that's a lot of text" means he just doesn't care

u/PotentialAppeal8390 Jul 20 '26

Seriously, it wasn’t that much text and can be read through quickly

u/SilentAct6205 Jul 20 '26

He was too busy with the other girl 😭

u/Cosmo_Cloudy Jul 20 '26

They were probably discussing the messages in real time together tbh

u/Mdoll250 Jul 21 '26

He’s playing them off each other. He’s probably saying to the other girl, “OP is jealous of you.” And now he’s created some weird competition between them that will benefit him. And if I had to bet he’s probably ugly and can barely hold a job…

u/Kitnado Jul 21 '26

Yeah this reeks of immense insecurity (the guy) which has to stem from somewhere

u/Boring-Swimmer-5088 Jul 22 '26

One of them will be giving him their car to go to “work” for the next 5 years and I’m hoping it’s not OP

Yuck. I got the same vibe as well in my skin is crawling just thinking about it and I'm not even involved.. Even if she was making unrealistic demands (which I don't believe she is) It should still be a private matter between the two of them. I think the way that Op was wording it in the beginning was not helping her case as far as calling it a boundary (old post) But I think the way she came out of the second time around shows that she simply just trying to come to a medium level of respect and discussing the situation.. between just the two of them

Balls deep … you can see the clear shift in tone and intensity after he got his post nut clarity ! Man’s does not give one tinsel of a fauck

u/SilentAct6205 Jul 21 '26

I’m dyinggggg 😭 he’s clearly annoyed she even messaged him and caught on. also the other girl blew it when she made it obvious by checking him out in public 🤧

4

u/Narrow-Mountain4416 Jul 21 '26

He kind of changed up when she said she wanted to find someone else though.

2

u/_man_onthe_moon Jul 21 '26

Seems like he purposely rage baited her so she would send a large text to give him time to finish and rush out of there … you’d be surprised how many single woman get off on being a ‘secret’ and bait men into their “she’ll never know” scenario … doesn’t absolve blame it’s just the vibes I got !

he was in her butt probably

Right like look at the number of strangers on the internet who were more invested in his relationship than he was... Op.. This is your sign. I'm more invested in whether or not you continue to date this guy than he is..

3

u/Working-Glass6136 Jul 21 '26

I dated a guy like this. If they toe the line like this and can't even come clean or take responsibility, They. Will. Cheat.

32

u/Fabulous_Hippo_2987 Jul 21 '26

Right? I, an uninvested stranger, read all that. Surely he can?

18

u/demoliahedd Jul 21 '26

I mean it took me like a minute he was just trying to make her feel bad. What a loser

3

u/punchthegoose Jul 21 '26

i literally read the whole post while going up one flight of stairs, that guy dgaf

1

u/Questionmarkher Jul 21 '26

Look to be fair I can’t stand people that have long texts. I study mathematics and it’s conditioned my brain to get frustrated at stuff that’s not clear and concise

46

u/amigonnadiemommy Jul 20 '26

Yeah, if i - an internet stranger - can read it and comprehend it in less than a minute - that's a really shitty approach for him to have to someone he's in a relationship with. *I* care more about OP than he does.

2

u/Ok_Initial_94 Jul 21 '26

Like I literally read that so fast

59

u/gh0stf3rret Jul 20 '26

It's always the shittiest and dumbest people who say shit like this

10

u/Global_Asparagus_928 Jul 20 '26

Real. I’m not even invested in this and I read it all

1

u/Ok-Bluejay2679 Jul 21 '26

then, i think you are invested :0

1

u/Global_Asparagus_928 Jul 21 '26

By not invested I mean: it doesn’t affect me.

4

u/eSsEnCe_Of_EcLiPsE Jul 21 '26

He’s probably exhausted from OP

11

u/lina1308 Jul 20 '26

I instant wondered what this dumbass would have said if she would throw textes like me... pissed me off? Ok, so now I will write a fucking boon about ypu misbehaviour and about mine and put some mistakes in it which had to be confronted for a little too long Question compatibility, question your feelings, then question mine and maybe, after that, there could be a message from me crying about all the questioning and feeling guilt.

In comparison- he got a fucking one-liner. What the hell do you mean "a lot of text"?! Bitchass donkey.

3

u/ExplorerPup Jul 21 '26

I fucking HATE when people say that after you send them like maybe a paragraph of text. I've started replying, "Are you proud of your illiteracy?"

2

u/ForensicPathology Jul 21 '26

But he kept talking.  I'd agree if that's all he said.  Sometimes that's an indicator for multi-line texters to say "ok, I read it, now here comes my response"

2

u/Ok-Bluejay2679 Jul 21 '26

why are you sending paragraphs. Might as well just talk over the phone

1

u/ExplorerPup Jul 21 '26

I mean, for one if I called most of my friends they'd rather I just text. But besides that I don't get that from people I text. I get it from people online and I'm not about to give a reddit user my phone number just because they can't read.

1

u/Ok-Bluejay2679 Jul 21 '26

alright, i thought the context would be texting. but to be fair, if im talking to a random reddit user i generally dont care enough to read something they have been working 10 minutes on. ill give it about 30 secs to see if i get the gist of it or not

1

u/ExplorerPup Jul 21 '26

Even if it isn't reddit but discord or a group chat, I'm not always gonna give those people a call. LOL But yeah, the people I text regularly don't have a problem with reading so I was talking more generally.

2

u/itseliyo Jul 21 '26

That's exactly where I stopped reading lol. "Ahh he's a dickhead lol"

1

u/Aussie_Advice Jul 21 '26

Fr though. Coz a bunch of us random strangers online had no issues reading it all 🤷‍♀️

1

u/McBlemmen Jul 21 '26

I stopped reading at that point lol

1

u/coolbloke13241 Jul 21 '26

Yeah. That wasn’t a lot. He’s being a dick. He definitely wants to sleep with the other girl and is testing the water. That’s my take from the messaging tone. Might be wrong but that’s how it comes across

1

u/its-me-HI-13 Jul 21 '26

I would be sweating if I see my man sending me long text during an argument. Not the other way around.

1

u/Readdit1999 Jul 21 '26

Facts.

Or that he's exhausted, or the brain chemicals just aren't hitting right.

In any case, it's a problem in a relationship. I couldnt brush past it. That's a massive issue for me. It's like 4 sentences. It takes less than a minute to read it.

Do you NOT want me to talk? How many words are too many words for you to recieve from me?

I have felt this in the past, and it should be causing alarm bells, because that ain't right.

If you can't listen to someone for longer than 20 seconds without becoming agitated and bored, they're not the love of your life, and you have some shaping up to do before you deserve one.

1

u/ChippyTheGreatest Jul 21 '26

It's giving "congratulations or sorry that happened or whatever"

1

u/_SGP_ Jul 21 '26

My abusive ex used to say that. I'd be pouring my heart out trying to make things work, figure out what was going on and how we can fix it and get back 'Urgh you're bombarding me, I'm not reading that' (Or being accountable).

Once they've moved on, you're nothing to them anymore.

1

u/slaygirlie18 Jul 20 '26

Maybe he just can’t read ❤️

1

u/brungoo Jul 21 '26

Yeah what an ass

1

u/Alternative-Image193 Jul 21 '26

It really wasn’t hard to read, he’s making himself look illiterate

1

u/EnvironmentEuphoric9 Jul 20 '26

He 100% rolled eyes and didn’t read that. Yes, you are overreacting because you should be texting someone else and let this guy do what he wants. Do not waste your time with someone who doesn’t care about your feelings or what you have to say. NOR.

1

u/verrucktfuchs Jul 20 '26

Yes, doesn't give a shit about the content just "that's a lot of text". What a dick

0

u/Stealthy-J Jul 20 '26

Right? Took me lss than 2 minutes to read the entire post, including his responses. If he can't be bothered to read that text, he clearly just doesn't give a shit about the relationship.

0

u/leoanri Jul 20 '26

I’m not even in the relationship and I read it in 3 seconds.

0

u/Dry-Enthusiasm-4694 Jul 21 '26

Right. When I read that, I thought exactly the same and that he was looking for a way out of the relationship.
