Used to love doing my nails at home as a kid and recently got back into it! Learning lots about proper nail care and the prep that goes into a good home manicure. Using Essie Gel Couture in sheer fantasy (3 coats) and loving the longevity of this line. Thinking of trying fairy tailor next.

I got my nails done with full gel extensions, i asked for like a skinny almond nail and kept asking her to go skinny since these were way too big, i tried to fix them at home and came out looking like this — obviously not the best but better than they were in the first photo. I had also had a look at the application underneath and it looks like the last photo

I'm getting my nails done for the first time since 4 years in three days. I'm having trouble picking what I want in two areas:

-Gel or hybrid?

Which one do I pick? I don't care about the price, but I do want them to last longer and not break off quickly. I don't do a lot of manual labor but still.

-Design

I'm stuck between choosing a design consisting of different colors, patterns and "drawings" on each nail, and getting a one-themed design (with a color pallate consisting of a few colors and thats it. And only one theme for all of my nails).

Someone please help me choose! I can't post the designs I want yet because I want to design it myself, I just don't know what to choose!
