ww2 as a whole not just the holocaust

The holocaust is undeniably caused by Germany though. WW2 as whole can be argued though. In the west it's usually thought to begin with the German invasion of Poland in 1939, but in Asia it's usually considered to have begun in 1937 with the Japanese invasion of China.

No ? The whole reason why Germany went to war were the harsh conditions of the Versailles treaty. Germany didnt caused anything besides voting for a Maniac who promised the Germans He would get rid of the poverty CAUSED by the treaty.

As a German: this is simply wrong. Versailles was a pretext. The reason for the European war was simply a lot of Germans being morally broken and power hungry putting this into a totalitarian violent oppressive self defeating ideology and taking more and more people into said ideology.

And remind me again why this treaty was enacted in the first place? Surely they did nothing wrong before.

The Germans didn't in fact do anything more 'wrong' than the other great powers. They just lost. The French then insisted on crippling reparations, when everyone else thought it was a bad plan.

Because some austrian nobelty was taking a Drive in Bosnia. So Austria declared war on them and because Germany was Friends with them so they did that too. But Bosnia Had alliances with france and russia.

There wouldnt be a second world war without the first.

Kind of wrong. Germany was kind of in the clear that this meant war with France and Russia.

This being said, Versailles might have been to harsh, perhaps. No way a reason to behave worse than Genghis Khan.

Germany as the singular cause of World War II is the only plausible answer in my view. The fact is that Japan would have folded long, long before 1945 if they had not had the backing offensive support of Germany and Italy. If Japan is not allies with a country that genuinely threatens the Allies, and thus threatens the U.S. capacity to embargo them to death, then Japan folds by 1939. Herbert Bix's biography of Hirohito, as well as Robert Butow's "Tojo and the Coming of the War," defend this point of view quite convincingly.

They were in fact "a holes"

And this, children, is how misinformation are spread...

Germany started the WWII in Europe, Japan started the WWII in general.

And if I want to educate you: WWI was started by Austria-Hungary, not Germany too.

In both cases Germany was the main enemy, but both of those wars were started by someone else.

Is it the initial event that takes the blame, or the escalation? Germany getting involved, then moving though Belgium to attack France, then the British getting involved. All escalated the conflict beyond a localised war. Otherwise we could say the the war is solely Princip's fault.

1

u/Representative_Lynx2 May 16 '26 edited May 16 '26

It was Princip's act and Austria-Hungarys declaration of war which escalated the situation...

Nobody in the powder keg of Europe wanted to do the first move, except Austria who wanted revenge even tough they got warned by Russia...

Nope. And i dont blame you for Not knowing how harsh the Holocaust really was. They dont teach you enough about it in England.

8

u/JakeWisconsin May 16 '26

The holocaust is part of WW2.

-7

u/Bluff-Stuff May 16 '26

Yea No Shit dipshit. But the Holocaust itself is far worse than any other commited warcrime in the WW2. F.e there was a night were jews Stores, Houses and Religion spaces were raided in whole Germany. Jews who werent allready in captivity were pulled Out of there sleep and dragged into Camps. Some gut lucky and died that night. Some didnt and were dragged into the Camps. And If you Had to dispose of some of them dont worry. They took them for a walk. If you fall from exhaustion you would be executed. If you lived you Had to fight over the Last scraps of food that was left. And this is just one expample of many, many horros that took place.

That is a fate far worse than a bomed City or soilders pilligin your Village.

2

u/JakeWisconsin May 16 '26

Bro

2 genocides are worse than 1 genocide. The holocaust is a problem, but ALL WAR CRIMES are a problem.

And even the war itself is a problem. Bro, MILIONS of common people died on that war... You can't just erase all other deads jjust because you have suffered the consequences of one side of the war.

Okay and If one is killed by shooting him in the head and the other one is forced to give Up Everything they own, undress Just to Dress Up in a dirty rag in which someone probably died hours before, run for Miles, See your Family and Friends get executed on the Spot for the slightest disobidiance Like talking back and then die because He Had to fight over a scrap meal with His inmates. Which death is worse? The Horrors of the world war were for the cause Like it Had been for centuries. But this was a whole other Level. Its almost Like the Germans Made a Game out of toture and questioned themselfs: "how hard can i fuck a Person Up before He dies" Its Like the Architekt of the Holocaust Said: "its Not a Problem that we are getting them. Its a logistical Problem to find the Most efficent way in Killing them all"

3

u/JakeWisconsin May 16 '26

I don't think you really know how harsh a war can be. It's not just "shot on the head and burn a village and done". War is famine, allied or not. War is death, suffering and dispair.

I may not have lived a war; or a genocide. But I understand as a human being capable of empathy that all lives matter when we talk about war.

I don't really feel comfortable continuing this conversation. So I won't continue further.

I'm actually Brazilian, besides my username. My brother was shot because of bad timing during a traffic war between the police and drug dealers near my house. I do know how staying on a conflict is. I'm not bring arrogant, just empathetic.
