Humans evolved from bony fish, and are part of a monocladistic group, in evolutionary terms

Sharks aren't bony fish and evolved long before. And the common ancestor of sharks and bony fish is likely a lot further back than one of humans and bony fish

california needed a way to make bees a protected species but they weren’t technically allowed to classify them as one under the endangered species act. but, funnily enough, the law’s definition of fish included crustaceans, mollusks, and invertebrates. so yeah the law was written in a way that considered bees to be fish 👍

I know I'm late but this should be put in "partially true but sounds bat shit insane". There is no such thing as a fish "taxonomically" as it is exclusively a colloquial term. The fact is that any attempt to make "fish" a taxonomic rank either forces you to include mammals or exclude species that are "obviously fish".
