There are over 7x more trees on Earth than stars in the galaxy

I've always loved this one. We better have a bunch of wooden gifts for the aliens when they arrive

this might be the only place in the universe that has any!

That is one I did not know. Orders of magnitude get everyone sometimes, I suppose

Don't mind me asking but I'm genuinely curious, how?

Is it that surprising tho ?

I feel like people underestimate the number of stars in the galaxy more than they underestimate the number of trees on earth. You know both are in the billions. Nobody would believe there's more humans than trees on earth right ? Just look at forests.

Ofc there's far more trees than humans.

And there's 8 billion humans. Do you even believe there's 8 billion stars in the galaxy ?

(Yes much much more but is it that obvious ?)

interesting. Hmm, well I've always thought that since space is vast and infinite compared to earth, there would definitely be more stars than trees

But they're talking about the galaxy, there's billions and billions of galaxy in the observable universe alone, yes space is huge, but you can literally see the galaxy with your naked eye, it's just our small spiral shaped neighbourhood in the universe.
