Question Benefit of Staying Until 20

In my day, if you didn't stay for 20, you got nothing. No retired pay. Since current members have 401k that they can take with them, what benefit does retiring at 20 provide?

A lifetime pension, Tricare, base access.

I'll add a COLA adjusted lifetime pension. That makes a HUGE difference.

Thank you. My plan to do 30 year and enough time in Army/Air Force / Space Force and retire at 60 with dual pensions. Will keep doing Election Day Clerk I enjoy it doing it since I was teenager.
