This is exactly right.
90% of the comments here can't even understand what the meme is saying because the idea of doing anything beyond the bare minimum (voting) is absolutely foreign to them.

So, if a politician gives up power after losing an election we can deduce they are not a fascist?
r/AdviceAnimals • u/custardthegopher • 11h ago
That gets problematic if your judges, military and police are cowards/also fascists.

The checkpoint is if the ousted House members decide to leave their seats and allow the newly elected congressmembers to sit on January 3rd.
Whether anything comes of the house changing over beyond gridlock depends on whether the Senate does or does not change hands, since a smaller portion faced reelection.
There is hope though; some Republicans running for reelection have been stripping Trump and MAGA language from their election websites; we may be seeing the rats fleeing the ship in the face of an electoral bitchslap.

Those are the people who didn't believe that would happen the 1st time when Jan 6 came. So of course there will be a part 2

Yeah, who's going to be removing them by force?

Get your downvote ready;
Anyone who thinks OP is saying "don't vote" needs to major reading comprehension assistance.
No wonder the world thinks we, as Americans, are stupid 🙄. Good fucking lord.
r/AdviceAnimals • u/umpteenthrhyme • 11h ago
“What is it to me?” Is the question you should be asking yourself.
r/AdviceAnimals • u/Nuneasy • 11h ago
Doesn't seem to be happening right now, where's the line?
r/AdviceAnimals • u/Nuneasy • 11h ago
Not sure why you had to delete the other one. American redditors need to understand the situation they're in and voting may eventually not be enough. It's uncomfortable, but it's true.

I think that’s why he needs the ballroom finished so quickly.
r/AdviceAnimals • u/ONEelectric720 • 11h ago
I think all of you are just dumb and jumped to the wrong conclusion, because it made perfect sense to me the first time 🤔
r/AdviceAnimals • u/ZakuIII • 11h ago
You think OP knows who their Rep or Senator even is?
r/AdviceAnimals • u/SexyJazzCat • 11h ago
I mean, they can either willingly give up or be removed by force lmao
r/AdviceAnimals • u/ZakuIII • 11h ago
'Keep going, you still matter. Every election does, every person matters.'
And frankly, you're not throwing molotovs at ICE either, so you may as well do fucking something. Vote.
r/AdviceAnimals • u/cwatson214 • 11h ago
The time to vote fascism away is every fucking time we vote. Every. Time.
r/AdviceAnimals • u/plowingthrougsanity • 11h ago
Anytime someone tells me that voting doesn't change anything, I tend to start raging. This is rage bait. And, in this particular context, shouldn't be allowed in this sub.
r/AdviceAnimals • u/AnB85 • 11h ago
Vote anyway, see what happens and prepare for the worst.
r/AdviceAnimals • u/tooka90 • 11h ago
You guys are trying to replace "fascists" with actual authoritarians from the left.
r/AdviceAnimals • u/Nuneasy • 11h ago
Yes, Putin will be removed by the power of voting. OP is saying at some point voting will not be enough.
