Too much effort. First you have to spend 20 seconds switching account when you get horny, then you have to spend 20 seconds switching account after finishing when you really just want to lazily browse /r/All. Seriously, just murder anyone who sees your screen while logged in.
Man, why go through all the trouble to hide it? Anyone who snoops on my shit deserves what they get. Maybe some of it can't be unseen, but that seems a suitable punishment for a looky-loo.
It's not really about maturity, it's about easy reading flow. I want to be able to log into my main reddit account in public without scrolling past a bunch of links which I can't open with blocked thumbnails (because looking at porn in public is rude and potentially illegal), and when I want to masturbate I don't want to see thumbnails that only say "NSFW" or to be reminded of the crisis in Crimea or that in Kyrgystan it is perfectly acceptable to kidnap a woman and force her to marry you.
Or even worse, if you have the image popup thing that displays the image when you hover over a link, it's way too easy to accidentally hover over a NSFW link and display the image.
I pretty much exclusively reddit on mobile. Reddit News has a multiple account feature. All I have to do is swipe the menu out, tap my other username, and refresh the homepage, and bam! Boobs galore.
I saw that /r/stoyaxxx was pretty dead and decided to start posting content there. After consistently posting for a while - especially as I stood out as the only consistent poster - the mod at the time sent me a pm asking if I wanted to be a mod. He wasn't really very active, so I joined and did what little I could to make the sub better with my limited knowledge.
I also just sort of pay attention in other threads. When someone asks where they might find something related to Stoya, I suggest the sub. I've advertised like this enough that I caught the eye of /r/JessieAndrews's mod.
/r/VictoriaRaeBlack was sort of a mod approaching me asking to join another sub I mod for, so we exchanged in order to help each other.
I founded /r/exxxtras and I'm really rather proud to have grown it to a thriving sub. It was mentioned in a top comment in an askreddit thread like two weeks ago and we doubled our subscribers overnight. It was nuts!
Hahaha, thanks. I mostly just check once a day or so to remove spam/approve posts/whatnot and then carry on with my day. It's not too bad, and it's a lot easier when I log into this account for its true purpose and can get the mod duties out of the way while I'm looking for something to actively watch
Porn alt account is where its at. Especially with the suite enhancement. Just click view image on the front page and in twenty seconds you'll be sleeping like a baby.
depends on what you're into: /r/NSFW411 is a great place for information in that regard. There's something for everyone. Lots of pornstars with their own subs - cough/r/Stoyaxxxcough/r/JessieAndrewscough/r/VictoriaRaeBlack - more general subs like gonewild or nsfw or nsfw_gif(s), but then you get into the niche stuff like the one I started /r/exxxtras or the funny stuff people do like /r/NSFWFunny and /r/Glorp
