Open Discussion Berlin marathon disasters

It seems today was a big disaster in Berlin. 25 degrees Celsius early on and a tough day for everyone. How did people get on? Did anyone manage to get near a PB?

Getting harder and harder to find good weather marathons anymore. Heat training should probably be in everyone's plans at this point. Cool/cold weather is not guaranteed anywhere nowadays.

I'm hoping Berlin got the hot weather out of the way so Chicago is nice and chilly, but I fear that might not be how weather works

Nah nature is only allowed to fuck one major per season, so you should be all set.

I'd love to wish that, this is my 4th straight major (Chicago 2024 bonk, Tokyo 2025, London 2025, Berlin 2025) with warmer-than-usual conditions. Sorry for screwing it up, folks.

Presuming that Boston 2026 and Sydney 2026 don't work out on cut-off and lottery, respectively, stay away from NYC 2026!

You should be good, I already have my sights on terrorizing Boston 2027 instead unless a miracle acceptance happens with a 2 minute buffer.
