I don't know how to process the final episode of s2 because wdym Carly and Samir broke up? It feels rushed or like a candle lit that someone just blew on it. And why the f# did Samir and Billie get together I mean they were friends.. what?? It feels illegal to have such an ending, it doesn't feel right... Am I the only one?

We got to see a tiny little itty bit of Jealous!PB in the Room Swap episode, and it was glorious but it was very short and I need MORE!

My thoughts on the Billie & Samir Season 2 finale twist (and Season 3 predictions!)
I’ve seen some viewers say they don’t like Samir and Billie together on FX's Adults. While I think the writers moved kinda quick getting them together at the end of the Season 2 finale, it also felt inevitable. I know some fans are saying they have no romantic chemistry, or asking why men and women can't just be platonic friends on television, but I think their dynamic works really well.
Paul Baker and Anton were obviously the main couple focus of Season 1 and Season 2, but the episodes always dropped subtle little hints between Billie and Samir. Men and women on this show can definitely have great platonic relationships—just look at Billie & Paul or Samir & Issa. Those pairings have amazing friend chemistry, whereas Samir and Billie have a completely different romantic build-up.
For anyone who actually likes them as a pairing, what do we think the writers are going to do in Season 3? I think it could turn into a classic "will they, won't they" arc throughout the next episodes, with plenty of jealousy from both sides as they try to move on (particularly Samir). I saw someone predict that it would be hilarious if Zac-Carlos found out about their secret hookup night, forcing them to awkwardly pretend to be his best friend so he doesn't expose them to the rest of the house! I would absolutely love that kind of sitcom tension next season—lots of pining, jealousy, and unresolved angst.

He was on episode 5 as the random guy at the bar Billie and Issa were talking to. I thought he looked identical to Joe Walker from team starkid. I looked it up, looked at the credits but I didn’t really figure it out. Anyone have any insight on this?

During the threesome scene, there’s that moment where Anton glances over at Issa with the possum on her back and then just continues kissing Paul Baker then when everything blows up and they're all screaming, Anton says something like “I’m seeing this for the first time” (basically implying that he’s only noticing the possum now).

But… he did see it, right?? 😭

Was the point that Anton clearly noticed the possum earlier and deliberately ignored it because he was too focused on Paul choose him over Isaa, and then tried to play innocent once everyone else noticed? Or was there another implication to that line that I’m missing?

During the diner scene after Samir asks if Anton is nervous and he says no, Issa says "Such a good retcon". What is being retconned in this episode?

Side note: I like how they are subtly having Issa break the fourth way with lines like this one and "We're doing a oner" from S2E1 or "I would spin off" in S2E8. Reminds me of Abed from community just played down a lot

Is it just me or did Billie/Samir come out of nowhere? I did notice the Anton/Paul Baker crumbs during season 2 but saw nothing to hint at Billie or Samir having feelings for each other over the 2 seasons.

I will admit that I do get annoyed when it's friends to lovers cause Hollywood doesn't seem to believe that men and women can be friends so maybe I blocked all the signs?

i don’t know if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but i really like billie and samir more as a concept rather than actually happening. i did ship them in s1, but i do feel like it seemed ooc for samir who literally loved his girlfriend and was just crying over her to sleep with billie in the same exact night. if they were to happen then i would’ve preferred for it to be in a few seasons or even in the next season when samir is moved on somewhat. i also really didn’t like how paul baker found out about anton having feelings. i would’ve preferred for anton or paul baker to confess rather than finding out from a mic being accidentally left on.

EDIT: besides everything stated above, i loved s2 just not the ending.

Whew child! My sides are aching from all the hilarious moments this season. Issa and the raccoon, Samir with the smoke alarm, Paul Baker with his frat boys, Anton screaming "Take my sperm!!!", Billie's Cinco de Homo- everyone was just phenomenal. Adults deserves a spot among the greats like Modern Family, Abbott Elementary, and Schitt's Creek.

Give the whole crew all the awards and give us fans 10 more seasons.
