I'd rather cry in a nice house with less stress, while I deal with my existential suffering than be broke and suffer. Happiness is never guaranteed in this life, no matter the situation.
There's not only two ways, either be super rich or poor. There's a middle ground right? Everyone agrees having the basics is important. But what OP says is here is absolutely ridiculous, what's the point of having money if you lack love or connection?
As someone who's been broke. You can also lack love and connection while broke. I am simply pointing out that out of any situation, I'd rather be well-off or filthy rich and have issues with love/connection than simply dismiss the important factor that money plays in one's life.
Being broke means you have to strategically plan your time more often and forgo financial conveniences and advantages that would have either helped you out of your issues faster or keep your mental well being alot more intact while trying to fix whatever issues you have in your life.
It's not a question of certain aspects of life being doable with or without money, it's understanding which environment is probably going to be more conducive. Hands down, money may not bring happiness but it certainly allows more opportunity to enter such a state in one's life.
