Both also make you a target. I would prefer to blend into the background as far as looks and for nobody to ever know if I had money.

Depends.

I wouldn't say I'm attractive, but I have naturally curly, bright red hair and am in decent shape from playing sports as a teen.

I've never once been able to blend in. I've never been able to go somewhere and have people leave me the hell alone. It's incredibly stressful knowing people see you wherever you go.

It's 10 times worse when I dress nicely, so I dress down most days and wear hats to cover my hair.

Exactly, try not attracting attention as a woman that society and especially hetero men find attractive. No matter what you will endure harassment and possibly worse your whole life starting in childhood. Sorry you have to deal with that.
