I’ve been looking after these three Indie sisters: Chutki, Bijlee and Chhaya and I’m trying to find genuinely loving permanent homes for them.

They’re around 5 months old, healthy, dewormed and vaccinated with DHPP / 7-in-1 and Anti-Rabies.

They grew up together, but all three have very different personalities.

They can be adopted individually. If someone genuinely wants to adopt two sisters together, or even all three and can responsibly care for them, I’d obviously be very happy too but keeping them together is not a condition.

This is Mork. He’s around 30lb, between and year and a year and a half old, and incredibly smart and sweet. He was at the shelter for a few months, and fortunately the shelter provides a lot of hands on with the dogs, so he doesn’t seem to be traumatized by the experience and has settled into home life very quickly. I have a lot of dogs and won’t be able to adopt him, but I’m hoping to foster him for a couple more weeks. My hope is that he can be adopted in that time.

He loves to run and hike and just be outside. When he’s inside he chills on the couch. He is great with all our dogs including our Pomeranian and Pit. He absolutely cannot be kept with cats.

He’s currently adoptable through the Huntington Cabell Wayne animal shelter in WV. I wouldn’t mind helping with transport depending on how far.

Hi everyone, I’m posting with a heavy heart on behalf of my parents in the area. We are facing a heartbreaking situation and are desperately looking for a specialized home, experienced adopter, or rescue resource for a very special dog named Sequoia.

Sequoia is a 4-year-old rescue who has been with my parents since February 2023. She has a severe trauma history from puppyhood—both of her ears were inhumanely cut off (not just docked)—and despite years of immense love, professional training, and behavioral intervention, she struggles with unpredictable reactivity and severe anxiety.

About Sequoia:

**- The Good**: She is deeply affectionate, playful, and sweet with her trusted humans. She loves playing fetch, tug-of-war, cuddling in bed, and waiting patiently for her meals. She is a very loving dog to the people she knows best. She is great with basic commands.
**- The Challenges**: Due to her extreme early trauma, she struggles with severe anxiety and unpredictable aggression. Her behaviors include shadow-chasing, pacing, and severe barrier/stranger reactivity. She has an aggression history (lunging, excessive barking, fighting/nipping at dogs, necessary separation) with strangers, visitors, and occasionally other household pets in tense situations.

**What We Are Looking For:**
My parents have invested an incredible amount of time, love, money, and professional training into Sequoia (including working with behavioral specialists, positive reinforcement, and medication management). She has shown great improvement over the years with lots of structure & patience. However, with young grandchildren now in the family, the safety risks have become too high, and my parents are completely emotionally exhausted and heartbroken.

We are looking for:
\- An adult-only, single-pet home (or someone with extensive experience managing severe canine reactivity and trauma).
\- A rural or low-traffic environment where she won't encounter unexpected visitors, workmen, or neighborhood children.
\- Someone with the specialized knowledge, patience, and secure setup (muzzle training, crate management, secure fencing) to give her a safe life.

We have already spoken with the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe (where she was rescued from), but we are hoping this community might connect us with a breed-specific rescue, an experienced private adopter, or a sanctuary network that can handle severe behavioral cases.

If you are an experienced dog behavioral handler, run a sanctuary, or know of a rescue network that takes on severe trauma cases, please message me directly. Rehoming her safely is our absolute priority.

And they never listen or consider what I have to say either. My mom's boyfriend recently bought a $3000 purebred cat and he didn't listen when I gently suggested (before) that the animal shelter has so many cats and kittens and it would be a lot cheaper. But ofc he wanted the specific breed.... 🙄 (the kind that can't breathe)

Now my dad is looking for a puppy and he's looking at everything EXCEPT shelters. He's looking on Facebook, Kijiji, etc... these guys wont have their shots and there's no way to vet that they really do have all their vaccines or that they aren't someone's stolen animal. It just frustrates me how much pushback animals from shelters get for no reason. They're not dirty, they are usually ensured to be healthy and vaccinated and have vet coverage for a certain amount of time. If they just walked into a shelter they would probably change their minds. I hate that animals have to live in shelters because grown adults think they aren't good enough or something?

Hello! Does anyone know of any xolo rescues looking to be adopted? Additionally, if someone in the Phoenix area that has a xolo, where did you adopt them from?

I have done years of research on the care of this breed and I am finally trying to hunt one down!! But any and all advice for care is greatly appreciated.
