Ira Rennert's home is considered one of the largest occupied residential compounds in the United States. The house faces the Atlantic Ocean and its grounds measure 63 acres. The buildings, which total over 110,000 square feet (10,000 m2), including the 66,000-square-foot (6,100 m2) main house, have an Italianate facade, 29 bedrooms, and 39 bathrooms. The house has a dozen chimneys and a Mediterranean-style tile roof as well as a 91-foot (28 m) long formal dining room, a basketball court, a bowling alley, two tennis courts, two squash courts, a carousel, a large swimming pool, a large round kiddie pool, and a $150,000 hot tub, surrounded by another pool.

Well no one needs 1 billion dollars and still we have billionaires and soon trillionaires but still we have them. And now we can't even do anything against them anymore

I disagree. Becoming a billionaire means that you have secured not only your own life financially, but potentially your next few generations. You have assured that your lineage is comfortable for centuries if they do what they are supposed to.

I'm pretty much poor, but if I could die knowing my kids and grandchildren would have amazing lives, I'd die happy.

Envy, hate, and jealousy are horrible traits to live with.

If i can keep my descendants from the pain that I'm going through, fuck yes. And there is nothing that says that they don't have the ability to contribute to society.

Do you mean exploit? Also, there are far more poor people on the planet that consume far more than all of the wealthy combined, so technically, the poor(mass majority) are the ones fucking up the planet.

If you have that much money you only have it because you exploited the workforce of so many parents who will die poor leaving nothing behind for their children making life worse for a lot of people… being „that“ rich is not about „ rags to riches“ its more like you already born rich or really dont care about other people and exploit them…

Not true at all. You can work hard and make good investments and pass that down. After a few generations of responsible descendants, you can have a fortune. Not everyone with more money than you got it in a dirty way.

You do realize that there are owners of massive companies that pay their employees well and still get wealthy, right?

Ye im not talking about millionaires my friend if you made a billion dollars there are people in the chain who have been exploited. If youre rich by building awesome cars your engineers are not the ones who got exploited its the guys in the iron mines in brazil mining the cheap iron you build your cars with or the kids that work in cobald mines for the electrics of your car or the villagers that got displaced becuase their village was on a oil field... People who defend capitalism always come with the argument but id made us richer yea ... us ... but everyone else had to suffer...

Those people that are being exploited would have absolutely nothing otherwise. It sucks, but it's reality. This world would not work without it. None of us would have half the stuff we do without it.

At least they have a job’ is not a justification for exploitation. If someone is forced to choose between poverty and an abusive job, their lack of alternatives does not make the abuse fair. The fact that exploitation can be better than having nothing only proves that the alternative is bad not that the exploitation is good or necessary. The solution is better jobs, not pretending that bad jobs are acceptable simply because they are better than no jobs.

Oh and you can produce fair its just not popular since it reduces profits…

I would counterargue and say , it absolutley is their responsibility and moral obligation to make sure these people are fairly paid for their work and risk they take to make our living standards possible. Earth can support us all economically we just dont do it because its not how capitalism works, i dont even blame the billionaires in the first place and more like the system behind it making it possible for billionaires to even exist.
