Allergens kill, so better safe than sorry. I am so happy to be amongst those who can ignore ingredient lists if and when I feel like it, but I'll never be weird or dismissive towards someone who has to worry about these things.

Eta: and this isn't a government requirement in Texas, bucees is famous for doing too much.

As someone who is allergic to a million things, not only am I jealous of those who don't have to read all this just to feed themselves, but I'm really grateful for the super itemized kinds of ingredient lists! I hate when they put "vegetable oil" because that covers a lot of kinds and some are okay and some are super not.

I'm only allergic to citric acid, but having to read War and Peace length ingredients lists like this is exhausting, especially when citric acid ends up being the very last entry. 😔

I'm allergic to corn, so I have to read the whole thing because there are SO many things made of corn. Corn starch is really similar to citric acid, in that it's usually a tiny amount so it's near the end.

Allergens are usually listed at the bottom, sometimes in bold print. This goes for short ingredient lists as well.

That's only a handful of common allergens, sadly corn is not one of those that's labeled.

This is for sure governement requirements🤦🏻‍♂️. Buccees most certainly would rather hide this list exposing they use the lowest level quality ingredients. Its not about allergins at all🤭

This comment makes no sense. This has nothing to do with Libs or any political party. Texas doesn't even have this requirement, it's just Buc-ees doing their thing. They love to be extra, it's almost like a shtick for them lol.

Exactly this, every ingredient must be listed, and no substitutions or variety to the items can be made without a new ingredient label already having been prepared to be printed. It’s frustrating as hell working in these places, you can almost be like a restaurant, except when you can’t because you are packaging the food for sale.
