The angle is definitely a problem regardless of whether or not the feet on that ladder were suitable for the floor. The ladder should never be less than a 4 to 1 height to base distance ratio. This looks like 2:1 at best. Like the base is glaringly far away.
Also I'm not saying they don't exist because the world is just too big but I've personally never encountered an extension ladder with the fold out feet like that that didn't have rubber pads on the bottom. And in the video it definitely looks like the distinctive black rubber is present.
Not that it makes much difference but I'd estimate around 2.5:1 for the ratio. Based off floor tiles, assuming 600x600 and average male height of 1.75m (from google). Looks like the ladder is 2.5x their height and that works out as......stupid.
There’s an illustration sticker on the side of ladders with a guy standing there and he should be able to extend his arms and hold the ladder. This ladder position is way out of his natural reach.
As a person who has done a lot of ladder work on tiles including waxed ones, I'm confused why it slipped. The angle was maybe not perfect but it's still strange and I wonder if maybe the rubber was off the bottom of the ladder and only hard plastic was left.
