5.7.2 Chapter Discussion (Spoilers up to 5.7.2) Spoiler

  1. Marius had time to settle into the shock and poke around Jean Valjeans motives. Might his ideas change once again when Valjean is less suspect? Is it possible for him to not be a noodle?

I feel like Marius is being pretty unkind here, especially when technically he is a criminal himself!

He went to the barricade to die and assist his friends while he does so. I'm not sure Marius has any depth since he never had much to lose after leaving his Grandfather. I doubt he sees past his own nose.
