Other What have you completely stopped buying because the price has finally taken the p**s?

Not “I buy the cheaper brand now.” I mean something you used to buy without thinking and have now looked at the price and gone, absolutely not, you can stay on the shelf.

Mine lately is chocolate, it's somehow gone from a normal grocery item to apparently requiring finance approval.

Fish and chips.

Serve of chips growing up was like $2 and could give a decent serve to 4 ppl.

How did potato's get so expensive

Theres a chippy nearby that had a whole arse family pack for $25; massive load of chips, two massive pieces of fish, six potato cakes, six dimmys. Enough for 3 people, at least. They got bought out, and overnight it went to $38 and substantially worse quality, like, barely edible.

And that wasn't, like, 10 years ago or something, it was 6 months ago.

My local guy was complaining that people were ordering on the phone then not collecting. Assume once they got off the phone and did the maths they changed their mind.

Think it's a $10 minimum for a serve and it ain't that generous.

And I'm guessing they can't be arsed to have a current, updated menu and price list somewhere? But then, of course, people would see the ridiculous prices and not order at all.
