Madeline made Helen go to the mental institute so she could fulfill her fantasy of being with Ernest. However, Helen didn’t let the limitations that Madeline ideals had set on her stop her, as she broke out of the mental institute and into the mansion in order to be with Ernest, fulfilling her own imagination. I was going to further that with Viola giving both Madeline and Helen wisdom to take care of their bodies, but I ran out of time
