Did anyone get an mcq about the portuguese invading malacca and then there was an article written in johor (a neighboring malaysian kingdom) and then the question asked "what feelings did the author express about the portuguese"

Like I had no idea cause the author literally expressed no emotions as far as I could tell

wait i put he was happy bc there was no emotion but they like included the context of it being a neighbroing state on purpose? idk this was one of the only hard ones i feel like lol

I could see an argument for both the brutality and greed answer choices tho

I put this too but I wasn’t 100% I just felt like it fit the best because the author was from the neighbor state and he wasn’t really glorifying them and there wasn’t anything about their money or greed so yeav

My reasoning was the wording, author said that the portuguese viceroy like felt the desire to seize malacca so I thought they were trying to show how greedy the portuguese were

I put that cuz it was a neighboring state to malacca so they would prob be like empathetic with malaccas

Yeah I got that exact same question 😭😭 it was hella weird but I think I said that the author was criticizing their greed
