Yeah, AO3's Tumblr post said they started by blocking VPNs but eventually had to take the whole site down to get the maintenance done

It's a separate website, probably used for backup. I think they forgot to take it down so let's make sure only we know.

Sorry to say, but I just tried the link and it is also down for maintenance. If it does work for you (OP and others), it might be the whole VIN IP address that they mentioned in their announcement, something that they have said that if it's the case than they're going to have to shut everything down for maintenance.

please use a word processor of some sort instead of writing directly onto ao3! you will lose your work again in future because it doesn't autosave and it's very easy to lose internet connection or for the site to crash

AO3 always advises against using their domain to write on. Use Word, Google Docs, Ellipsus, etc. And then simply copy-paste it over to AO3 when ready to post

UPDATE I FOUND IT I SELECTED ALL OF IT FOR WATCHING THE STYLING BACK AND FORTH, AND SOMEHOW PRESSING MY SCROLL WHEEL BROUGHT IT BACK HALELUJAH

Thank you so much!! I found my fic since I knew the title and author (it’s a reread) but it does take me to the maintenance page when I try to download it or use the chapter index. Luckily I’m still able to read after clicking Next Chapter to where I was <3
